Identfication problems
Hi
I'm having some problems using the "EXTRACT vignettes into folders (''prediction'' or ''vis'' folder)" and "LOAD identifications from sorted vignettes" processes. The extraction process ends without errors, but there are not created any subfolders, nor any extracted vignettes and of course no vignettes to load.
Any suggestions?
Is there perhaps another way to correct prediction made by PkID?
Jon

Identification problems
Hi Jon,
I had the same problem but it seems to work now. So I have two hints:
Did you choose an spv learning method (not a cross validation!) for creating an analysis file?
Did you copy the analysis txt-file into PID_Process\pid_results folder?

Extraction / Validation using vignettes in Zooprocess
Hello Jon,
If it ends with no error, it is probably because you have no predicted file into the pid_results folder of the selected project.
You must place the global analysis*.txt file issued from the prediction by PKId into the "pid_results" folder. It should work... but we use to predict also the detailled files in PKId to get the *dat1.txt files predicted. You have to place all these predicted files into the "pid-results folder and start the "extract vignettes in folder..." tool.
Note : DO NOT predict more than 20 PID files at the same time. You may experience false data in the *dat1.txt files.
Regards
Marc P.

Re: Identfication problems
Greetings Marc
I have put both the global analasys file and the dat1.txt file from PkID into the pid results-folder. But still the extraction process ends in the same way. A folder is created (named with date and time) containing a log file saying "vignettes extracted=0".

Extract vignette tool
Dear Jonem,
I did not know the problem that you are discribing hereby...
I'am actually working on the new version 6 of Zooprocess that we use today for most of our vignette extractions. I did some improvements on the tool for this new realease but we are still using the 5.12 on a daily base for vignette tasks on one PC.
Can you please tell me the date and time of the file "Zooscan_extract_vignette_to_folders3.txt" file that you will find in the ImageJ/Macros folder. Are you using the Zooprocess 5.12 version ? I will try to find the bug or to send you another file.
Regards

Re: Identfication problems
I'm using version 5.12, the date of the file is 16 january 2009 (I guess that is the date I installed it?).
I see version 6.10 is released, should I install the 6.10 macros and try again?

Extract vignettes tool
Dear Jon,
Yes, I would prefer you to install the version 6.10. The Extract vignettes tool from this last version is being used daily in our lab. I noticed problems on version 5.12 when the regional parametres of Windows were not properly defined. Please use a DOT instead of COMA to separate decimals in your numbers ! (5.125 instead of 5,125)
Remember :
- place predicted dat1.tx files or the analysis*.txt file issued from PKId into the "pid_results" folder !
Best regards,
Marc P.
