Matlab routine to read PID file

Hi,

I would like to use the Matlab routine from the following link in order to load my PID data:
ZooPart/ZooScan/Download%20Softwares/Matlab_routines/lecture_zooscan4.m

The variable "filename,var,typess,opt,varargin" must be specified, so I have used:

filename='mc_20130501_0920_d1_d1_1_dat1.pid';
var=123;
typess=0;
opt='.lio';
varargin=1;

I have tried to change these setting but I am not exaclty sure of the values that I should give to the 3 last variables because I have always got errors in the code:

Error using lecture_INFO (line 38)
Error: The expression to the left of the equals sign is not a valid
target for an assignmen

Could you please advise us?
